CORRECTED: The Great Wardrobe Switch to Fall

Just in time.

Here at Leviner Wood we love light-colored suits, khakis, unlined featherweight sports coats and poplin anything just as much as the next guy. But after wearing nothing but all summer, all the while trying to seem cool, we’re pretty happy to see the first day of Fall bring temperatures ranging from mid-50’s to the very low 70’s.

Those temps, football season, Oktoberfest beers put us in the mind for cords, tweeds, sweaters and maybe a beefier shirt. take the sport coat above. Nice, right? Check out the details. The functioning throat tab for really windy days with the top down or walking to the corner wine shop. This is also the new weight of tweed — lighter, easier to wear and soft — really unlike that old thorn-proof your dad had.

How do you wear it? In a business casual environment, try it with moleskin trousers or some wool or whipcord. Throw in a knit vest over anything from a button-down to a chambray shirt. Take it out on the weekend and throw it over jeans and a flask for the game.

Correction: an earlier version of this post stated that the coat was available as ready-made. This is custom only.
