Fabric of the Month: Birdseye

No, it isn’t nailhead, which is a smaller, more square looking pattern, this is birdseye. Slightly less formal than solid charcoal or a pinstripe, birdseye’s pattern is an interesting way to add some texture to your wardrobe. At a distance it will look solid gray, but it is really a black and white pattern woven into a very soft and drapey fabric. Birdseye travels very well because of the weave, shaking off wrinkles easily, and is a hardwearing fabric. It can be dressed up with a white shirt and tie, or dressed down with a back collared polo sweater. In short, this is a very versatile suit and one of the business classics that is very rarely seen in an off-the-rack version these days.

Looks great in both two button and a double-breasted cut! Leviner Wood’ s Fabric of the Month: Birdseye. Two piece suit: $795. Price good through July 31st, 2013 as supplies last.
